Meet Our Veterinarians

Dr. Kathy Stidham
Dr. Kathy is a graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. After moving to East Tennessee, with her husband and three children, in 2015, Dr. Kathy joined the My Pet’s team in 2016. Though she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, she especially loves dentistry and feline medicine. In her down time, Dr. Kathy enjoys running, hiking, and curling up with a good book. In addition to her husband and three children, Dr. Kathy’s family includes a Great Dane named Finn, a Beagle named Boone, and a cat named Penny.

Dr. Taylor Bonar
Originally from Oak Ridge, Taylor studied Animal Science at UT Knoxville and then studied at the UT College of Veterinary Medicine. He worked in Nashville and moved here to Alcoa to be closer to home. He likes hiking, nature watching, reading, horseback riding and target shooting. His current pet inventory includes a cat named Tisi but he hopes to expand soon.

Dr. Chelsie Steele
Hello! My name is Dr. Chelsie Steele. As a Knoxville native, I earned a bachelor of science degree from Tennessee Technological University and a doctorate of veterinary medicine from Lincoln Memorial University.
In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and most importantly, spending time with my family including my beagle and cat.
I first decided to become a veterinarian because I felt called into the profession.
As a teenager, my family dog was like my child, and I found a passion for helping others with fur children. I began volunteering as a 16 year old and worked my way up, keeping my hardworking parents as role models.
I have a deep rooted passion for pet wellness, science, preserving the human animal bond, and improving the quality of life of my patients.
When I enter an exam room, my mission is to meet the needs of my patients and build a client relationship centered around trust and a mutual agreement on a plan of action for health care.
As a veterinarian, I am honored to make a difference.
